Larry Swann is currently the Director of the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in the Lower Sioux Indian Community of which he’s an enrolled member of. Larry grew up and spent much of his life in the Redwood Falls area. After seeing the challenges many families in the community faced when it came to obtaining things like mortgages or loans, he began providing a service that didn’t exist before through the CDFI by creating lending, growth and financial literacy opportunities. Larry is a graduate of Minnesota State University Mankato and spent much of his career in gaming and finance where he was able to create numerous programs alongside many state and federal organizations. Larry spent five years as the Lower Sioux Housing Director where he provided opportunities for assistance programming and lending.
