Dr. Sangeeta Jha

Dr. Sangeeta Jha joined St. Cloud Technical and Community College in 2011 after nearly ten years of teaching Sociology and Anthropology at St. Cloud State University. Besides teaching, Sangeeta serves and has served on campus and community committees and initiatives including SCTCC's Cultural Fluency Council (team member), Create CommUNITY (co-chair), Conversation on Race (member and co-chaired for 4 years), Jugaad Leadership (Advisory Board member), Honoring Choices (Board member), Community Anti-Racism Education Initiative (team member), and MLK Breakfast (team member). Additionally, she is a licensed Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). She also facilitates cultural competence/proficiency, anti-racism, and allyship workshops. Recently, she co-championed the establishment of the Multicultural Center at SCTCC. Sangeeta brings her Indian cultural heritage into her life in St. Cloud. Her participation in the 2023 Paramount Center for the Arts project, "Women of the World: Our Common Thread,” signifies her pride in her roots which she shares to enhance intercultural development in the community. It is no wonder that Sangeeta has been honored by state and local awards including the 2019 AARP Minnesota 50 Over 50 awards, the 2017 Jugaad Leadership Community Champion award, the 2023 Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award and the 2023 Rock-On Award.
