Born and raised in Central Minnesota, Sara Carlson has plenty of experience directing high-performing teams and developing constructive relationships with a wide range of organizations and community partners. She received her Bachelor or Arts from the College of Saint Benedict. Sara is the Executive Director of the Willmar Area Community Foundation, which aims to foster charitable giving opportunities in the region and better meet the needs of the greater Willmar community. She lives in Sauk Centre with her family, and works in Sauk Centre and Willmar, Minnesota. Sara is also a mother of two Black children and speaks to the lens of raising them in rural Minnesota.
