Abdirizak (Zack) Mahboub

Zack Mahboub was born in Ethiopia and moved to the United States after graduating high school in Mogadishu, Somalia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, and Master of Public Affairs degree from Humphrey School of Public Policy at the University of Minnesota. Zack is CEO and founder of West Central Interpreting & Consulting Services (WCIS). With a growing number of new Americans in the West Central Minnesota area, WCIS helps meet the needs of non or limited-English speakers by offering skilled and trained cultural competent interpreters and translations for healthcare, education, business, legal services and more. Zack brings expertise and experience to the Willmar community including these accomplishments; Former Bush Leadership Fellow, Executive Director of the Cedar-Riverside NRP (community development), Manager at Neighborhood House (resettlement assistance), and Director of the African Community Economic Development of New England.
